1. Nature of the Service
Omaha Residents Directory is a private reference service. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections relevant to Omaha, Nebraska. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a public office, court, or record custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use Omaha Residents Directory only in a lawful manner. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Find a person whose location is protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, housing, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, systematically copy, or republish content at scale
- Disrupt the service’s operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Service
Omaha Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on this service or returned by a linked tool is a consumer report. It may not be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Outside Resources
Government portals and other services, including sponsored tools, have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, availability, prices, or data handling.
5. No Warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties. We do not guarantee that information is complete, accurate, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of Omaha Residents Directory or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record reached through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page and quote short attributed excerpts, but may not republish full pages or systematically copy the content.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.
10. Access Restrictions
We may restrict or block access, without notice and at our discretion, for a violation of these terms or misuse of the service.
11. Nebraska Law
Nebraska law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§84-712–84-712.09, set access rules for records kept by public custodians; they do not make Omaha Residents Directory a government custodian.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
